Principal's Message

I am delighted to welcome you to the web portal of VPM’s TMC Law College, Thane an institute dedicated to delivering quality legal education. Established in 1972, the college has stood by aspirants in turning them into lawyers.

This College primarily serves students from Thane and nearby regions. Since 2016 MH CET through admissions have 15% reservation for out of Maharashtra admissions and so we have students from different parts of India. We proudly offer LL B (3 yrs) and LL M programmes. Both are affiliated to the University of Mumbai; LL B programme is, as required, approved by the BCI, New Delhi. Our college is the only college under the University to be NAAC reaccredited in its second cycle. We set high standards in all our endeavors and strive for excellence by nurturing well-rounded professionals with a strong sense of social responsibility. Our teaching–learning practices are continuously upgraded to align with evolving educational needs, keeping the student at the center and focusing on measurable learning outcomes.

The students are at the centre of all activities and in all these years their faith in us is our motivation. Our faculty, infrastructural developments, library and other facilities are dedicated to moulding our students into responsible lawyers. Hon’ble Retired HC Judges Justice Shri Abraham Mathew, Justice Shri Umesh Salvi, Justice Shri Anil Joshi, Justice Shri Sandeep Shinde and Hon’ble sitting judges of Bombay High Court- Justice Shriram Modak and Justice Smt Sharmila Deshmuk are our past students. Many past students were and are judges in the trial judiciary and tribunals too. Our alumni Shri Gajanan Chavan and Shri Pasbola serve as members in the esteemed Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa. Many have taken careers in public service and academia too.

Looking ahead, our vision is to further strengthen research culture and valuable collaborations with professionals and institutions, creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment that positions us as a preferred law college nationwide. I warmly invite students aspiring for quality legal education, as well as academicians, law firms, corporates and professionals, to experience the enthusiasm in our campus.
